Jermain Taylor v Ronald Wright

Jermain Taylor retained his WBC middleweight title in Memphis, but the great middleweight debate has not been settled.

A hard-fought contest between Taylor and mandatory challenger Ronald ‘Winky’ Wright – both Americans – ended in a draw in Memphis, meaning Taylor keeps the title he won from long-time champion Bernard Hopkins.

Following the fight Taylor said he would fight Wright again but the 34-year-old Wright has reportedly said he does not want a rematch.
