Injin Chi v Eiichi Sugama

Injin Chi v Eiichi Sugama
Chi, who won the title by stopping Michael Brodie in April in Manchester, made a successful first defence courtesy of a punishing combination in Saturday’s clash in Seoul.
Chi dominated the early stages but had a huge scare when he was caught by a big right from Sugama at the end of the sixth round.
For a while the result looked in the balance with Chi apparently weakened by having to lose nearly a kilogram before the weigh-in.
But the champion, known for his heart and relentless attacking style, gradually reasserted himself.
And he struck in the 10th, felling Sugama with a right-left combination.
The win improved Chi’s record to 29-2-1.
