Timothy Bradley v Edner Cherry

Timothy Bradley got a unanimous verdict over Edner Cherry in their junior welterweight showdown.

Bradley was making the first defence of the title he took from Junior Witter back in May and took the contest on the scorecards from two separate panels of judges.

Apart from a sloppy round in the 11th, Bradley dominated the contest and put Cherry on the canvas in the eighth.

There was little doubt when it came down to the decision from the judges on a controversial card in Biloxi which had seen the feature between Joan Guzman and Nate Campbell scratched.

The latter walked away with his title intact after Guzman backed out due to feeling ill after weighing in at over three pounds heavy.
